INFORMATION WE COLLECT; USE OF INFORMATION
When you visit the HPS Site, our web server automatically gathers information from your Internet browser. This information may include your Internet protocol (IP) address (which allows us to determine the identity of your Internet Service Provider), your operating system, and the type of browser software that you are using to access the site. This information is used to monitor traffic and performance of the HPS Site and to maintain and improve the HPS Site. No personally-identifiable information is ever gathered by us through your browser.
We collect no other information from you unless you choose to provide us with information (for example, by completing and submitting an online sign-up form), such as name, postal address and e-mail address, so that we may respond to comments and questions about our services and the HPS Site. If you provide us with such information, it will be used only for the purpose for which the information was submitted. We will not share your information with any third party, except as required by law, or as agreed to by you.
We realize that foremost in the minds of privacy-conscious individuals is the security of information after its submission. All information collected through the HPS Site is securely stored in databases. Access to the stored information is restricted to select authorized personnel. However, transmitting information via the Internet or by e-mail is never completely secure; any information submitted may be intercepted, collected, used or disclosed by others. We do not use secure socket layer (SSL) encryption in the HPS Site, so we do not recommend transmitting any information you consider sensitive through online fill-in forms on the HPS Site.
