COVID-19: HPS Has Taken Action to Protect While Continuing to Serve





Given the dynamic nature of the COVID-19 crisis, we want to let our clients, colleagues and friends know what steps we have taken to ensure that we will remain available to you during this uncertain time. It is our goal to continue to serve our clients’ needs while at the same time keeping our employees, clients and colleagues as safe as possible. With the rapidly changing landscape of this national health emergency, we have put our business contingency plan in place, which will serve us and our clients well over the weeks to come.

We are continually monitoring and following the recommendations of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and state authorities in all the jurisdictions in which we have offices while continuing to ensure the continued operation of our business. Fortunately, HPS is a predominantly paper-free, technology-based law firm. Consequently, we have seamlessly moved to a fully remote working environment for all of our attorneys and staff. We have invested heavily in technology to ensure we can do this successfully. Please call or contact us via email as you ordinarily would—we will be ready to respond and serve. We intend to continue our full-scale law firm operations as we work predominantly remotely.

While many clients have asked us to limit or cease meetings or depositions, we appreciate that there are some that might need to take place. We have remote video-conferencing capabilities, which allows us to refrain from unnecessary in-person meetings and depositions. Our resources remain available to our clients on an as-needed basis.
