Aaron Ryan manages our Pensacola office.  He has spent his legal career defending hospitals, nurses and physicians in medical malpractice litigation. A main focus of his practice is the defense of cases involving birth trauma, as well as catastrophic injuries to children and adults. He has also handled a broad spectrum of other medical issues from mental health/suicide to cardiac to infectious disease.

In addition to his defense of healthcare facilities in medical malpractice litigation, Aaron has also successfully defended those facilities in premises liability matters through both successful defense at trial and summary judgment.

From a client perspective, Aaron appreciates that he not only works for, but with his clients. He partners with each client to first establish what a successful outcome looks like, then tailors an appropriate course of action to meet that goal. Throughout the lifecycle of each case, Aaron works hard to keep his clients informed and aware by honestly addressing the positives and negatives of different approaches. Furthermore, he understands the demands placed upon his clients and has seen how valuable his efficiency, organization and diligence can be in successfully defending the claims against them.

Before relocating to our Pensacola office, Aaron was elected to the Illinois Supreme Court’s Character and Fitness Committee for the First Judicial District where he served from 2010 to 2018. As a committee member, he met with applicants seeking admission to the Illinois Bar to evaluate each referred applicant to ensure that only those individuals with the proper moral character and fitness were permitted to be entrusted with the responsibility of representing individuals, corporations and others in the State of Illinois.

As a result of his years of practice and client service, Aaron was selected as one of the 2012 “Forty Illinois Attorneys under Forty to Watch” from over 1,100 applicants. He was also featured as an Illinois Rising Star from 2009 through 2013.
