| C. Murray Harris was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2005 and concentrates his practice in the areas of medical malpractice, professional liability defense, emergency medical services (EMS) and commercial and construction litigation. Mr. Harris was admitted to the bars of Massachusetts and Rhode Island in 2003 and 2004, respectively, as well as the United States District Court of the Northern District of Illinois and the United States District Courts of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Born in Oxford, England, Mr. Harris earned his B.A. in Economics from Middlebury College in 1999 and his J.D. cum laude from Boston University School of Law in 2003 where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Law & Medicine and a Paul J. Liacos Scholar. Mr. Harris also received the Dean's Award in Healthcare and Legal Institutions and honors in his Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution concentration. Mr. Harris authored Informed Consent: Physician's Need Not Inform Patients of the FDA Classification of a Medical Device - Southard v. Temple University Hospital, 27 American Journal of Law & Medicine 489 (2001), and has lectured on various legal issues to EMTs, paramedics and nursing home administrators. Prior to relocating to Illinois, Mr. Harris worked for eight years as a nationally registered paramedic in the hospital and pre-hospital setting. In addition to his professional liability and healthcare litigation practice, Mr. Harris has expanded the firm's roster of construction clients and has obtained millions of dollars in judgments on their behalf.
