| Anna Loftus focuses her practice on the defense of physicians, hospitals and other care providers against medical negligence claims. Anna has appeared in state and federal court, conducted depositions, researched and drafted motions, prepared discovery and pleadings, and represented clients at mediation. Anna has won contested motions resulting in the early resolution and dismissal of cases. Anna has gained substantial experience with trial preparation and trial, conducted in Illinois, Texas, and Utah. Anna has also represented insurance companies in the defense of various types of claims including discrimination, sexual misconduct, and legal malpractice. She has reviewed insurance policies, formulated opinions regarding liability and coverage issues, worked with insureds in the defense of claims, and represented clients in court. She has assisted in drafting insurance policies and endorsements on a state-by-state basis on behalf of insurance companies. During law school, Anna served as an extern for Judge Marovich (N.D. Ill) served as an extern at the U.S. Attorneys' Office (N.D. Ill) and received the American Jurisprudence Award for Excellence in Legal Writing. Following law school, Anna was a judicial clerk for The Honorable Michael J. Gallagher, Illinois Appellate Court, First District, and was employed as an associate at Peterson & Ross.
