Jeramy Ashton
BIOGRAPHY
Jeramy Ashton is an Associate in Salt Lake City office of Hall Prangle and Schoonveld. As a former healthcare worker, healthcare consultant, and health policy staffer, Jeramy pulls from personal and learned experience in defending healthcare professionals and healthcare systems.
Jeramy earned his J.D. from University of Arkansas, Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law. While at Bowen, Jeramy served on The Arkansas Journal of Social Change and Public Service and later became the founder and president of the Health Law and Policy Society (HeLPS). Jeramy earned “Top Paper” awards in Employment Discrimination and Trial Advocacy. During his time at Bowen, Jeramy published numerous academic works pertaining to health equity, including work that was presented before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee and later offered publication with the American Bar Association.
In the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jeramy gained tremendous experience as a law clerk aiding in civil rights litigation. Jeramy later served as a Public Health Law Fellow for CDC, Legal Fellow for the U.S. House Judiciary Committee, Research Fellow for the National Agricultural Law Center, and Judicial Extern for Judge Wilson, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Arkansas. For his time with the Eastern District of Arkansas, Jeramy was selected by the International Association of LGBTQ+ Judges as a 2023 recipient of the Honorable Paul G. Feiman Scholarship.
A native of Salt Lake City with a love for the “Natural State,” Jeramy spends his free time running, hiking, or road tripping featuring the sounds of country music.
