Charlotte Buys focuses her practice on the defense of hospitals and medical care providers in complex medical malpractice and torts litigation. Her practice encompasses all aspects of pre-litigation and litigation, as well as alternative methods of dispute resolution.
During law school, Charlotte completed the UNLV Health Law Concentration, was Special Projects Editor on the UNLV Gaming Law Journal, and was a Research Assistant to Professor Lori D. Johnson, Esq. concentrating on the area ethical practice in law and dentistry. She also was awarded the Outstanding Student distinction in the UNLV Sealed Records Program in 2016. In January 2018, Charlotte co-authored an article with HPS Partner Casey Tyler entitled “The Affordable Care Act and Nevada’s Collateral Source Rule in Medical Malpractice Actions,” that was published in Nevada Lawyer, the official magazine of the State Bar of Nevada.
