Kiersten Hansen focuses her practice in the defense of healthcare clients against claims of medical negligence.
During law school, Kiersten was a Judicial Extern to The Honorable Robert E. Gordon. She also served as a law clerk where she researched state and federal law and drafted memoranda in several practice areas. She was also a teaching assistant for Legal Writing I and II.
Prior to starting law school, Kiersten was a paralegal with Donohue Brown Mathewson & Smyth, L.L.C. in Chicago. She assisted attorneys with reviewing and summarizing medical records and deposition transcriptions and managed all phases of case development in more than 100 cases. She also worked as an Intern for the Center on Wrongful Convictions where she researched and wrote summaries of exonerees for The National Registry of Exonerations.
While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Kiersten was a member of Northwestern’s Varsity Cheerleading Team and President of the Club Gymnastics Team.
During law school, Kiersten received a CALI Award in Legal Writing I and Professional Responsibility.
In her free time, Kiersten enjoys indoor cycling, traveling abroad and supporting Northwestern athletics.
