Richard “Ryan” Rivas is an associate with the HPS Florida team and concentrates his practice on the defense of hospitals, medical professionals, and other healthcare providers in a broad spectrum of medical negligence cases.
In order to aggressively represent each client, Ryan utilizes timely preparation, a concrete understanding of the medicine, effective and frequent communication with clients, and unique, case-specific defense strategies. By focusing on these areas, he furthers his goal of providing quality service to each of his healthcare provider clients.
Prior to joining HPS, Ryan spent several years at a large national insurance defense firm dedicating the majority of his practice to the defense of insureds in the areas of wrongful death, medical malpractice, dram shop/liquor liability, nursing home neglect, premises liability, contract disputes, insurance coverage, as well as other general liability matters. Ryan has also represented clients in litigation involving catastrophic injuries and traumatic brain injuries.
