Amanda Cole concentrates her practice in Healthcare Litigation. She brings to her practice many courtroom hours of experience litigating contested motions and hearings. She appreciates the challenge of synthesizing various aspects of a case from different reports and witnesses into a coherent legal narrative that supports the legal theory of the case.
Prior to joining HPS, Amanda was recruited to work as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Cook County State’s Attorney Office. She developed her talent in legal research and writing in her initial assignment of Criminal appeals. She spent extensive time litigating civil matters on behalf of the State of Illinois in child support actions and abuse and neglect proceedings.
During law school, she was selected as a Schiller Ducanto & Fleck Fellow and pursued civil law both as an intern in the Domestic Violence Court Pilot project and as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Bernstein. Additionally, she obtained her 711 license and worked for the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office’s criminal division.
