Tawni Anderson Named President of The David K. Watkiss - Sutherland II American Inn of Court

HPS Salt Lake City partner Tawni J. Anderson has been named the next president of The David K. Watkiss - Sutherland II American Inn of Court based in Salt Lake City, Utah. She will be the 36th president for the 2018-2019 term and was officially sworn into office on May 9, 2018. Tawni was previously elected as Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer of the chapter.

The American Inns of Court were established to promote professionalism, excellence, ethics, and civility within the legal profession. The David K. Watkiss - Sutherland II American Inn of Court is the second oldest American Inn of Court in the United States. Membership in The David K. Watkiss - Sutherland II chapter includes many of Utah’s leading judges and trial lawyers. Tawni was first invited to join as a member in 2001.

Tawni is a seasoned trial lawyer who concentrates her practice in the defense of hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers against medical negligence claims. She also has a substantial appellate advocacy practice and has defended clients in trucking cases involving catastrophic damages, pharmaceutical product liability, and Title VII employment actions.
