HPS is thrilled to announce that partner Tom Comstock has been named one of the’ “Forty Illinois Attorneys Under 40 to Watch” for 2015 by Law Bulletin Publishing Company, publishers of Chicago Lawyer magazine and the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin (CDLB). Comstock now becomes the sixth HPS attorney honored with this recognition.
Law Bulletin Publishing’s “Forty Under 40” is an annual survey conducted to determine who are the “most talented young attorneys practicing in Illinois.” To earn this recognition, the CDLB evaluates nominees on “intelligence, passion, success in the office, a desire to help community and, most importantly, a willingness to work hard at one of the country’s most important professions.”
“While Tom is not only an excellent litigator, he attracts, and is able to develop great relationships with clients. Tom is one of our key players in making HPS a place where our clients want to do business,” noted Jennifer Ries-Buntain, managing partner of HPS. “We are thrilled that Tom has been recognized with this highly sought-after honor and proud to have him join the list of HPS attorneys who have been honored previously.”
Tom joins fellow HPS attorneys and colleagues Michael Prangle, Michele Anderson, Jacqueline Sharuzi, Katherine Dzik and Aaron Ryan as previous recipients of this honorable distinction.
Tom focuses his practice on healthcare liability defense. He represents hospitals, long term care facilities, physicians, physicians practice groups and nurses throughout the state of Illinois against claims of medical malpractice. He has tried numerous cases to verdict before juries in Cook, Kane and McHenry Counties and is a member of the Chicago Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Committee.
