On March 13, 2024, Aaron Ryan, Partner at HPS, hosted a webinar with the Illinois Society of Healthcare Risk Management (ISHRM) on Premises Liability - Helpful Investigation Insights. Aaron has had the pleasure of representing medical facilities and healthcare providers in medical malpractice matters and premise liability matters since he began practicing in 2003. During the webinar, he shared valuable insights with risk managers and other hospital personnel concerning the essential elements required to prove a premise liability lawsuit, such as a slip and fall case.

The discussion aimed to outline the key types of factual information any organization should be evaluating as part of any internal investigation. Aaron shared that such scrutiny is crucial to determining the merit of each claim and to help defend against these types of claims in a court of law.
