Five HPS Associates Admitted to Practice Law
On October 19, 2018, Charlotte Buys was officially admitted to practice in Nevada at a ceremony held at the Las Vegas City Hall. She was also admitted to the U.S. District Court, District of Nevada on October 24, 2018 and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on October 31, 2018. Charlotte received her J.D. from UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law and her B.A. from Arizona State University.
On November 8, 2018, Katie Bennett, Jessica Bertino, and Patrick Creagh were officially admitted to practice in Illinois at a ceremony held at the Arie Crown Theater in Chicago. The candidates sworn into the Illinois Bar have all passed the Illinois State Bar Examination and a required ethics examination and were certified by the Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness.
Katie received her J.D. cum laude from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and her B.A. from Oregon State University. Jessica received her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law and her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. Patrick received his J.D. cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law and his B.B.A from the University of Notre Dame.
On December 5, 2018, Ryan Williams was officially admitted to practice in California. Ryan received his J.D. cum laude from the University of San Diego, School of Law and his B.S. cum laude from Ball State University.
Katie, Jessica, Charlotte and Patrick recently joined the HPS office after clerking for HPS prior to their law school graduation this past May. Ryan also clerked for HPS’ San Diego office prior to being sworn in. All five associates will focus their practice on the representation of healthcare clients against claims of medical negligence.
