HPS adds Attorneys to Chicago, Las Vegas and Salt Lake Teams

In the last two months, Hall Prangle and Schoonveld, LLC has expanded its ability to serve its clients by adding attorneys to its Chicago, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City teams.

Chicago

Sean O'Connell is a former government attorney who applies his extensive experience in managing and litigating cases to the defense of healthcare providers and organizations. Before coming to HPS, Sean was an Assistant Attorney General at the Illinois Attorney General's office and an Assistant State's Attorney in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. He investigated and prosecuted complex financial and high-tech crimes, managed courtroom operations for almost 100 cases, and litigated more than 50.

Allison Romelfanger, a former public sector attorney, has over ten years of experience litigating civil and criminal matters. Before joining HPS, she served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel and Assistant Corporation Counselor Supervisor for the City of Chicago. While serving in those roles, Allison supervised and managed all aspects of state and federal civil rights cases, including of discovery, settlement negotiations and litigating several cases to a jury.

Las Vegas

Tania Dawood works with other HPS attorneys to defend healthcare providers, organizations and hospitals. Prior to joining HPS, Tania worked defending hospitals at a national law firm's Las Vegas office. She earned her J.D. from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law, where she completed the health law concentration and was the treasurer of the Health Law Society. She was a founding member of the Policy and Legislation Society, in which she served as treasurer. She also served as a founder on the board of the UNLV Middle Eastern Law Students Association.

Breanna Fritchley works with the HPS Nevada attorneys to understand clients' goals and develop and deliver defensive strategies that meet them. Before joining HPS, Breanna worked as a Law Clerk for a Las Vegas area insurance defense firm, which gave her a thorough understanding of the process of healthcare litigation. Breanna studied law at the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She was twice named to the Dean's Honor list and twice received CALI awards.

Michael T. McGrady works with the other Las Vegas attorneys to develop and implement defensive strategies for HPS's healthcare clients, particularly hospitals. His work at HPS combines his interest in law and medicine to help defend front-line healthcare workers. Michael earned a full-ride scholarship from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law, graduating cum laude. He was president of the Gaming Law Society, Senior Staffer for the Nevada Law Journal. Michael was named to the Dean's List.

Salt Lake City

Amanda Fuller works with the Salt Lake team to defend healthcare providers and hospitals. She earned a J.D. from The University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law, where she was on the staff of the Utah Law Review. She was executive editor of the school's 2021 Symposium, organizing the event and editing the subsequent Law Review issue. She was a member of the school's Moot Court competition team. She was named a top 20 Oralist nationally and regionally and was a Pro Bono Initiative Fellow for the School's Immigration Clinic.
