HPS Welcomes Two New Associates

We are excited to welcome our newest HPS attorneys to our Chicago office, Madeline Engledow and Isabella Shindler!

On May 8, 2023, HPS celebrated Maddie and Bella being sworn into the Illinois State Bar after passing the February 2023 bar exam.

Madeline Engledow earned her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law and obtained her undergraduate degree in biology and political science at Miami University in Ohio. During law school, Maddie was an active member of the Health Law Association and served as an editor on the Journal of Health Law and Policy. Maddie has valuable legal intern experience working in-house at a healthcare transformation company and local St. Louis plaintiff’s litigation firms.

Isabella Shindler earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Law and obtained her undergraduate degree from Tulane University in cell and molecular biology. Bella had originally planned for a career in medicine but decided to pursue a legal career instead. She has past law clerk experience on the plaintiff’s side of medical malpractice claims and is excited to bring her unique medical knowledge to advocate for healthcare professionals.

Both Maddie and Bella will focus their practice primarily on Healthcare Litigation and devote their time to defending healthcare organizations, hospitals, and providers.
