HPS Attorneys Sabina Babel and Gina Ambrose successfully defended a Chicagoland hospital group and family medicine physician against negligence and wrongful death claims.

HPS Attorneys David Hall and Krista Luzio successfully secured a defense verdict in favor of an OB/GYN in Grand Island, Nebraska in collaboration with local Nebraska attorneys Mark Christensen and Isaiah Frohling of Cline Williams.

Prior research has identified an association or correlation between moms with disabilities and elevated risk of preterm birth and low birth weight. A new study published in the September 2022 issue of Pediatrics, the Journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics, found a mild to moderate increased risk of neonatal complications among newborns of women with disabilities compared with the newborns of women without disabilities.

The Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer have named HPS attorney Krista Luzio as one of their 40 under Forty Attorneys to Watch for 2022. Krista earned an undergraduate degree from Butler University and a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law. She joined HPS in 2009 and became a partner in 2016.
