Matthew J. Kaminski
BIOGRAPHY
Matt Kaminski is a trial lawyer who defends healthcare clients in all different areas of medical malpractice as well as employers in all areas of employment law, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblowing, wage and hour, contract disputes, trade secrets and non-compete agreements. Matt also has experience in federal civil litigation across the country defending businesses and employers in a variety of civil cases. Matt has also defended companies in products liability cases across the country.
Prior to joining HPS, Matt was an Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney in the Civil Actions Bureau focusing on litigation in federal and state court. He defended Cook County and its elected officials in areas of employment law, civil rights litigation, and contract disputes.
While in law school, Matt received the Order of Barristers award, which is designated for those students who excel in trial advocacy in the courtroom. Matt was also a member of the Moot Court team. He received a CALI award in Appellate Advocate and completed judicial externships at the federal district court level and the state Court of Appeals in Ohio.
