Shelley Doi-Taketa
BIOGRAPHY
Shelley Doi-Taketa concentrates her practice in the defense of hospitals, medical professionals, long-term care facilities, residential treatment facilities and other healthcare providers in a variety of medical malpractice areas, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. She takes particular interest in claims involving neurological, psychiatric, and neonatal injury claims.
Shelley’s interest in representing long-term care facilities stems from personal experience: members of her family have had positive experiences as residents of such facilities. She recognizes that the stakes are high for long-term care clients and works diligently to provide the counsel and representation they deserve.
During law school, Shelley was a Notes Editor for the Chapman Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Honor Board. She volunteered at the Alona Cortese Elder Law Clinic assisting low-income individuals and seniors with legal issues, and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Andrew J. Guilford in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. She was also nominated to the National Order of Scribes as an outstanding law graduate.
