Emily Lowder
BIOGRAPHY
Emily Lowder is an Associate at Hall Prangle, based in the Salt Lake City office. Emily focuses on women’s healthcare, particularly reproductive care, and long-term residential treatment for mental health and psychiatric care. She is dedicated to advocating for these important issues.
Emily earned her J.D. from Brigham Young University J. Reuben Clark School of Law. During her time there, she demonstrated her commitment to advocacy as the President of the BYU Law Chapter of the Animal Legal Defense Fund and through her involvement with the International Law Student Association.
A passionate traveler, Emily enjoys exploring different cultures and experiences. Her enthusiasm for international law and human rights advocacy is evident through her scholarly pursuits. Notably, Emily co-authored an article in the West Virginia Law Review discussing health as a human right and access to healthcare in rural areas. Her publications also include an article in the U.C. Davis Journal of International Law & Policy. Emily continues her research on international human rights law and the law of war, and welcomes opportunities to expand her expertise in these topics.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys drawing, writing
fiction, hiking in Utah’s beautiful canyons, and
playing with her golden retriever and two cats.
