Four HPS Attorneys Recognized by Best Lawyers

August 17, 2023

Four HPS Attorneys were recognized as the 2024 Best Lawyers in America®!

Congratulations to David Hall, Marilee Clausing, Hugh Griffin, and Kyli Cotten on their recognition in the 30th edition of The Best Lawyers in America®.

The Best Lawyers accolades recognize the top 5% of legal talent in private practice throughout the United States in 150 different practice areas. This year, over 13 million evaluations of lawyers were received and through a rigorous, peer-to-peer review process, 158,795 lawyers were selected for the 2024 edition. This recognition is a significant honor and widely regarded by both clients and legal professionals.

Founding Partner, David Hall, has tried numerous medical negligence cases nationwide with some of the highest exposures in Cook County history. HPS Managing Partner, Marilee Clausing, focuses most of her practice on cases involving obstetrical and neonatal negligence, also taking many high exposure cases to verdict. Hugh Griffin, co-chair of HPS’s Appellate Practice, is among the country’s most experienced and distinguished appellate attorneys and has been previously recognized by Best Lawyers. Kyli Cotten is a new associate who joined our team earlier this month. Kyli focuses her practice on healthcare litigation and has valuable courtroom experience on the plaintiff’s side.
