HPS Hiring Partner Becomes President of the Society of Trial Lawyers

In September, Michele Anderson, Hiring Partner at Hall Prangle and Schoonveld, LLC (HPS), became the president of the Society of Trial Lawyers (the Society), only the second female to hold the post in the Society’s near 100-year history.

"This is a remarkable achievement," said Marilee Clausing, HPS's managing partner. "It is well deserved by years of experience and the pure excellence that Michele brings to everything she does."

The Society, which is made up of some of the most respected trial attorneys in Illinois, continues with its foundational goals: to promote loyalty and the highest standard of ethics among trial attorneys and to advance the jury trial system through strengthening the relationships between attorneys and the judiciary.

"I am delighted that Michele was deservedly elected as President of the Society of Trial Lawyers," David Hall, one of the founding Partners of HPS, said. "That organization provides an important bridge between its members, and Michele is perfect to be at its helm."

Ms. Anderson earned her J.D. at Loyola University Chicago School of Law and focuses her practice on defending hospitals and medical professionals against claims of medical negligence. She is a member of HPS's Catastrophic Trial Team

Her term as President of the Society of Trial Lawyers runs through the Fall of 2020.
