On February 27, 2023, Shelley Doi-Taketa received the first annual Amy Kane Memorial Award at an event at the Chicago office of Hall Prangle and Schoonveld (HPS). As part of the award, Shelley will receive a monetary stipend for educational pursuits to help her grow as an attorney and leader.

In January 2020, HPS attorneys Amy Kane and Sapna Lalmalani secured a defense verdict for their clients in a case arising out of a surgical repair of complex acetabular fractures and a sacral fracture.

In October 2019, HPS attorneys Sapna Lalmalani, Bill Souferis, and Amy Kane secured a defense verdict for their client in a case which stemmed from allegations surrounding the treatment of a post-operative patient

HPS Partner Amy Kane, along with three other co-presenters, spoke at the Chicago Urological Society meeting on February 6, 2019, on the topic of medical malpractice.
