Tawni Anderson Named 2023 Super Lawyer

HPS Partner and Lead Attorney of HPS Salt Lake City office, Tawni Anderson, has been selected to the 2023 Mountain States Super Lawyers list. This honor is awarded to only 5% of attorneys through a comprehensive, multifaceted review process of individuals who have attained high peer recognition and have demonstrated achievement in their field.

Tawni Anderson concentrates her litigation practice in the in the defense of hospitals and healthcare providers against medical malpractice claims. A portion of her practice involves the counseling of these healthcare providers on a variety of corporate, transactional, and regulatory matters, and defending physicians and nurses in licensing actions before the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL). She has defended trucking cases involving catastrophic damages, long-term care/skilled nursing facility cases, product liability cases involving pharmaceutical products and Title VII employment actions. Tawni's practice also extends to appellate advocacy at state and federal levels, including pre- and post-trial consulting and mentoring other attorneys on appellate briefs and oral arguments. Additionally, Tawni works each year with various healthcare groups to push for legislation that is meaningful and favorable to healthcare providers, including drafting statutory language and discussing these issues with the legislature.
