Gilma Bernal
BIOGRAPHY
Gilma Bernal (she/her) is an associate in Hall Prangle’s Chicago office. She focuses her practice on healthcare litigation, including defense of fertility clinics, healthcare organizations, and healthcare professionals. A native Angeleno, she graduated from UCLA earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
Gilma earned her J.D. from Loyola University School of Law where she worked as Associate Editor on the Annals of Health Law and Life Sciences. Her involvement culminated in an article entitled: The FDA and the Fem-Tech Revolution. Gilma is interested in the intersection between regulatory science, technology, and its impacts on women’s health. She continues to explore this interest through her involvement in assisted reproductive technology and tort law cases. Gilma is an active member of the ABA’s Health Law Section and the Section of Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice. During the summers, she had the opportunity to clerk right here at Hall Prangle, where she gained valuable insight from working closely with attorneys on cases.
