BIOGRAPHY

Sam Schwab is an associate at Hall Prangle’s Chicago office, focusing his practice on defending hospitals, healthcare organizations, and professionals in medical malpractice and other healthcare-related disputes.

Sam earned his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. In law school, he was awarded Loyola’s “Leadership, Service, and Public Interest” award for his efforts in promoting voter registration. He was also a student clinician at Loyola’s esteemed Civitas Child Law Center, where he advocated for a criminal justice bill to raise the minimum age of police detention in Illinois from 10 to 14 years, aiming to reduce harm to vulnerable children.

Additionally, Sam gained experience as an intern at the Illinois Department of Labor, as a law clerk at a workers’ compensation defense firm and a personal injury firm, and as a judicial extern for the Hon. Anna Loftus in the Cook County Circuit Court’s Chancery Division. He also served as an associate editor for Loyola’s Journal of Regulatory Compliance.

In his emerging legal career, Sam is focused on providing a defense for clients that resembles a full-court press. To him, this means zealously defending clients at all stages of litigation and appeals to efficiently resolve disputes. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Sam attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science in 2019. He enjoys staying active by playing tennis, swimming, and rock climbing.
