Stevie Starnes
BIOGRAPHY
Stevie Starnes joined Hall Prangle in 2007 in the Appellate Practice Group. She works on the firm’s appeals in both federal and state courts and has experience in a variety of civil practice areas including medical negligence, general tort and transportation litigation, and insurance coverage.
Stevie is a highly valued member of the Appellate Team. Her legal research specialty is one of the essential components of the Firm’s appellate success in complex matters. Along with researching and drafting appellate briefs, Stevie aids our trial attorneys in researching and analyzing issues and drafting substantive motions and memoranda.
Stevie’s efficient use of time spent researching allows the Team to craft detailed appeals based on an exhaustive knowledge of applicable case law at the best possible value to their clients.
Prior to joining Hall Prangle, Stevie worked in the construction defect division at Zurich American Insurance Company and as an associate in the appellate department at Lord, Bissell & Brook (now Locke Lord).
Stevie attended Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington on a full-tuition academic merit scholarship. While in law school she worked part-time as a law clerk for an Indiana circuit court judge and as a summer law clerk for a United States Senate Judiciary subcommittee. She served as a Notes Editor for the Federal Communications Law Journal and volunteered with the Inmate Legal Assistance Clinic.
